Williamson River
A bucket-list river for serious fly anglers, and the chance at one of the largest wild rainbow trout in the lower 48.
Measured in pounds, not inches.
The Williamson River is one of Oregon’s most sought-after fly fishing destinations.
Its fish, Klamath Basin Redband Trout, are a unique strain native to this region. They grow to incredible sizes in the nutrient-rich waters of Klamath and Agency Lakes, often measured in pounds rather than inches. As summer temperatures rise, these giants migrate into the cool, spring-fed waters of the Williamson and its tributaries, creating an exceptional fishing opportunity from July through October.
