Licensing

As of Jan. 1, 2020, all fishing licenses in Oregon are done online. Licensing, tags and endorsements are available at -https://myodfw.com/fishing/licensing-info . An Angling License will be needed for all fishing situations. A Columbia River Basin Endorsement will be required for salmon and steelhead fishing on the Lower Deschutes. Adult Combined Angling Tag will be required for steelhead and salmon fishing on any river.

Warm Springs Tribal Fishing Pass will be required to fish the west side of the Lower Deschutes River between Dry Creek and Trout Creek. https://fisheries.warmsprings-nsn.gov/product-category/fishing/


Boaters Passes

A Lower Deschutes River Boaters Pass will be required to be present in all craft to float the lower Deschutes River. On limited entry dates in segment 1,3A, 3B, 4, a guide, outfitter, employee, or subcontractor of a guide or outfitter, cannot be named as a trip leader or alternate. Under this circumstance it will be the guests responsibility to set up a Recreation.gov log in and purchase the boaters pass. It is easier than it sounds. We will totally help you through this process and communicate the specifics of the pass required ASAP prior to the trip to ensure availability. 2023 Limited Entry Dates: Access is restricted to a limited number of boaters on:

  • Segment 1: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 15-september15

  • Segment 3A and 3B: 7 days a week, May 15- September 15

  • Segment 4: 7 days a week, may 15-October 15
